Deven's Baptism

Deven Ashley was baptized on Sunday 8/17.

Below Deven is dressed and ready to be baptized.

Deven gets Chrism Oil rubbed in her hair. It took several baths to completely get the scent of the oil away.
Everyone did their job well and looked good while doing it.

Daddy/Daughter Day

Monica has gone back to school giving way to Daddy Daughter Day every Saturday. We go for walks, read books, cheer on the Cubs, and take pictures.

Deven seems to enjoy our Saturday's almost as much as me.

Daddy tells really funny jokes.
If Casper were sitting next to me I would whisper the joke Daddy just told me in his ear.
Sometimes Daddy can get Mason to watch his sister so that he can take a shower or complete some items on his Hubby-Do List. He does a great job doesn't he.
When Mommy gets home Deven helps her do the Laundry.

The Roselle Townsends Go Home To Urbana

The Roselle Townsends visited Champaign Urbana during the weekend of July 4th for Claire's Third Birthday. The cake was delicious.

All the kids are anxiously awaiting cake.
While in Mahomet we were able to do some fishing. This is one of the many fish Mason caught during our visit. We may have to change his name to Babe Winkleman.
Here is one of the fish that I caught. I actually caught about 10 times the size of this one but we couldn't get the camera to work.
Mason also did some tree climbing during the trip. We almost had to call the fire department to get him down.
Here is Deven and her cousin Will.
Claire could not get enough of her new cousin. She was disappointed that Deven would not talk to her. Maybe next time.

Summer Cook-out

The Whippos' and Sauers' came over for a cook out. Below Bella and Deven play on the playmat while waiting for dinner.
Ronda and Bella play with Deven.
Evan and Mia are going to be turning one in just a couple of weeks. Look at those cute smiles!
"Old Man River" has a laugh while sitting on the deck. Dan turned 32 in July. Luckily he still has the maturity level of a 7 year old.

Deven sure does like being outside. She likes to look around and check everything out.

Deven's First Bath

Deven had her first bath on May 26th. She did not enjoy it as much as we had hoped. Apparently her Brother's dislike for baths has passed on to Deven as well.

I hope we have enough shampoo to wash all of that hair!
1 bath down......thousands to go!

Our Special Little Girl

Deven Ashley is doing great after coming home from the hospital. She is sleeping less and becoming more and more active as the days go by.

Mommy loves to take naps with her.

Her hair continues to get longer and longer. Mommy is going to have to learn how to do babys hair sooner than she thought.

Monica and I celebrate 1 year of wedded bliss!

Monica and I celebrated our one year anniversary on May 19th. We had sushi at our favorite sushi place and then hurried home so we could spend time with the kids.

For desert we ate some of our wedding cake. We could only stomach a few bites. It was much better the first time around.
Here are the flowers I brought home for Monica. They are almost as pretty as Monica, but not quite.

Movin' On!

Monica, Mason, Deven and I moved into our new house on May 15th. We were running out of room in a hurry in the townhome. Our new house will give us the space we need in a neighborhood that we love.

Here is our TV Room. Monica picked out the colors and the furniture. It had to be nice because we will most likely spend the majority of our time in here.
Here is the back of our house. The yard is big enough for the kids to play and the house even came with the trampoline (only two kids at a time please.) Mason can't wait to learn how to mow the lawn.

Our new arrival is here! Here is Monica shortly after arriving at the hospital at 6:30 AM on April 25th.
Monica and I were up all night timing contractions in order to determine when the right time was to leave for the hospital. Monica was a trooper and opted to not have an epidural which was for the best as it was too late for her to have one by the time we arrived at the hospital. Introducing Deven Ashley Townsend - 7 lbs 10 oz. and 20 inches long
Deven showed off her crying skills until the nurse let her see her Mom for the first time.
Mom and Dad are happy their little girl has finally arrived.
Take a look at all of that hair!Deven appears tired but she is really trying to hold her excitement in at meeting her Big Brother Mason.

The Roselle Townsends are on the move! Due to our upcoming new addition we have found the need for more room. We will be moving from our two bedroom condo to a 4 bedroom house in Roselle on May 16th.

Here is Mason's new bedroom. There will be plenty of room for a desk so that he can do homework. The new house is much closer to the park that Mason and his friends skateboard at as well.
Here is the kid's bathroom. The tub has jets in it as well so Mason and Deven will not have to "create" their own bubbles like I did when I was a kid.

Here is the master bedroom. I don't think I need all of those mirrors.
Our basement is going to come furnished with a pool table. The previous owners did not feel like moving it up the stairs so they are going to leave it.
And......here was Angel's reaction when we told her we were moving. Hopefully she gets over it and decides to give the new house a chance.
